The one to your question
-
Why! For instance Why are you crying? Because I am sad. Why are you sad. Because I failed my test. Why did you fail? Because I didn't study. Why didn't you study? Because I was tired. Why where you tired? Because I went to bed late. And so on and so on. Edit: The point is each answer can bring on another why question with no end in site.

How long will I live?

Consider the statement "This statement is false". Is the statement true or false? If you say "the statement is true", well then, its false. Because, its claiming to be false, so if we presume the statement is accurate, it must be false. On the other hand, if you answer "the statement is false", then it must be true, because it agrees with your declaration. Nobody can answer it because its inherently unanswerable.

If all criteria is acceptable then I believe there are many questions that no human could answer with absolute positive assuredness. People may still answer, but they would just be guessing. So, would a guess still constitute as an answer? Technically, yes. I'm assuming you are looking for a question that is impossible to give a right answer to. Just ask anything we cannot know for sure about. For example: What is God made of?

Exactly what did happen on that Tuesday in 5,023,138 BC? In fact, anything that happened before humanity appeared on the earth is open to speculation. The life-after-death thing is answerable IF there is life after death, because everyone will eventually find out. The closest thing we have at the moment is probably "Are we alone?"

What is it like to be a dog? (or cat, bird, mouse, etc... you pick the animal) We can guess about how their brain works, and how they perceive things, but we can never really know because we can't experience it from their point of view.

There is no question that no human can answer. Any human can answer any question. There is no gaurantee that the answer will be correct but anyone can answer any question given that they have the ability to communicate. If you mean answer correctly, well, then that would be "What is the ultimate question?" because only an extremely complicated and very large computer, involving labratory mice running around in mazes can answer that question but only if it isn't destroyed to build a hyperspace bypass before it arrives at the answer. Edit: Actually, I thought we had found the unanswerable question here, but Rotwieller figured it out: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view.php/76396

Theoreticly, all these answers are attainable, few obstacles have held humans back, in this case, questions. Consider Alexander the great's encounter with Gordian's Knot. Thousands of people had tried to untie it to no avail. Then Alexander's great force came throught the village and he chopped the knot in half with his sword. Cheating you may say, but he achieved his goal and was crowned king of the region. Whatever the problem or question is, i am confident humanity will find an answer.
