    Yes. People with celiac disease have a greater chance of developing lymphoma and intestinal cancer (straight from doctor first; then I found it on internet). However, if they adhere to a gluten free diet for 5 years, their chances are reduced to anyone else's (this is what my daughter's doctor told us).
