  • Obama would not and could not introduce Sharia law in the US. I would be extremely concerned if Congress did it and I'd do everything I could to stop it.
  • Obama is not muslim and did not have any interest in sharia law. There are provisions by the way in the US law for a muslim to become a president of the United States but these provision or I should say conditions were not resulting from any civil rights law or recent ammendments but rather they date back to the time of the founding fathers. I doubt that it would ever happen (shariah) law unless the president was a practicing muslim and one of the requirements for a muslim to be elected president is that he represents the majority of the US citizens and posesses superior moral character of that of any Christian candidate. The most I think that would happen is (And this is a stretch)that the apply elements of shariah law to muslim prisoners.
  • Get a grip.
  • One no relgious laws will be passed in britain, i don't care much about canada or US but i dobt either of them would. Plus obama is a christain so why would he?
  • I'd be very concerned. Canada has its own laws and constitution. There should be no offical recognition of another set of laws.
  • This is old (2008) but it may be some indication of how the entire matter was settled with a big resounding "no" from both sides. There's no way that Obama could do this. The US Congress, 50 state legislatures and the bigest pert of the population of the US would have to be involved.
