  • I think it would have been too late as the poison would have already entered his system. I feel really sad about his death which is quite strange as I was not what you'd call a huge fan. But at least it was a quick death and he died doing what he loved the most.
  • Doctors have said that the poison alone would not have caused his death. The barb piercing his heart caused it. Only the good Lord knows that answer. When it's your time then it's your time.
  • I doubt it, because it would of had to of come out some time, and if they had waited until a doctor got there he may of died through internal hemariging
  • The poison definetley would not have killed him. It causes little mmore than a bee sting type of rection. It is possible that not pulling out the barb may have given him a few more minutes but considering the remote location he was at and how far he was from medical help I don't think he would have made it either way.
  • In a stabbing-type situation, the projectile should never be removed, until at the emergency room. the projectile may have severed internal arteries and may be preventing the person from bleeding to death inside. No matter how it hurts, no matter what it looks like, a projectile should never, ever be removed, except my medical personnel, in an emergency room. There is a very good chance he would have survived, if he had left the stingray barb intact and went to a hospital.
  • From what I've read he very well might have. A stingray's sting is not deadly in most cases. But pulling an object from a peircing wound with no medical aid is always fatal because you will bleed to death internally. So he could have very well have survived it because so long as the object stays put there's no bleeding.
  • There is a chance but probably not likely he would have survived. Anytime you are stabbed with something like this, you should leave it in to prevent more bleeding. Also, a stingray's barb has serrations along the edge that are aimed backwards. If the barb is pulled out, it tears and does even more damage. The venom of a stingray is not deadly in any way. I'm sure it didn't help that it got injected directly into his heart though. The venom is just extremely painful but not fatal.
