You have to either: correctly position and/or replace the wiper motor crank arm assembly.

Did you buy a used motor, rebuilt or a new motor? I had my wiper motor stop in the verticle position as well. I bought a rebuilt one because used ones, you never know what you are getting. I also found out that they have to be re set to the correct position when the motor is replaced becuse they don't automatically set them selves. I personaly think that these motors should be coverd under the warenty especially because mine is a 2003 but they are not according to Jack McGee Cheverolet.
