  • Like most dogs, slow integration into the public. Walks around the block on a leash. Walk in the park on a leash. the more the dog sees you with larger males, the easier it will get the picture. Dogs are very smart. Usually ones that need adaptation to larger humand are German Shepards, dobermans, rottweilers, bull dogs, great danes and certain hounds. The bottom line: slow, easy integration into the outside world...always on a leash. Use a sharp "No" if the dog misbehaves. You are the boss. Remember that
  • No joke, I am wondering if you mean larger male people or larger male dogs.
  • Not sure what you mean by larger males[human or dog],and if you asking because your dog is affraid of them... But in both cases similar psychological process will aplly.. With dog...if its affraid or unsure of man,let him introduce himself to it first..let the man stand a front of him without talking, eye contact, any affection att all...let the dog take his time to come closer and smell the man..it might take some time, but this is the only way the dog will adjust himself to it..you have to keep quiet too..once the dog calms down around the person you and him can give affection... With dogs..now dog park is the worst place for this excercise...dog which is affraid of large breed[usually for reasons] will either become agressive ar shy and nervous and will run with his tail between his legs into avoidance... Introduce him to large and most importantly non dominat, non agreesive male dog...is best if you know this dog and you can borrow him to walk..one hand your dog and other hand the other dog...walk fro a while..this will help calm your dog and bring them together..dogs bond the best when they walk..they become a pack....once you see it calm, you can let the other smell its rear while your dog is facing away..dogs greet themself this way..this will give him more confidence to aproach the dog later....for now avoid face contact between this dogs...it will trigger agression,or fear in your dog....once you see your dog is being ok and really calm you can than let him have a smeel at the rear of the other dog....repeating this excersise will help gain your dogs confidence and making him feel comfortable aroun large breeds,,,please never introduce your dog to dog you dont know...large breeds are mostly dominant and this will result in even worse fear or agression than now....you have to pick the right dog to do this excersise with....
