I think that it is a difficult thing to determine when religious freedom ends and personal rights begin. I pity those involved and hope for the healing of those hurt. I am glad that I am not in a position to have to decide what is right in these matters.

I feel for the ppl who have been born into this and have been brainwashed and know no other way. If they have viewed both sides and stay then it's their choosing, but I have seen way too many children born and bred that come out to talk later about this "cult" and they didn't know what real life was and they thought that their "God" was the man that made himself out to be just that. It's sick that these children are being inbred and at such a young age, to many ppl. I think that it's hard to figure out what is their rights and what is just not kosher with society and the way of the law, but something does need done to stop some of the things that have happened. These are my thoughts.

The first problem with this question would be the use of the term Polygamist. The individuals raid belong to a sect of Mormons. I'm not necessarily blaming you, as much as the contortion of our media toward Polygamists, using the basic Human fear or curiosity of the atypical to boost ratings. The homes of Monogamists are raided everyday for the same or worse circumstances, but using the term Monogamist in such away seems awkward or incorrect entirely. Why? The lack of specification. I believe it's our duty as a Human society--in aim toward benefit to us all & our children to come, is to point out these sorts of negative discrimination in task to end it. ...My 2 cents.
