I don't know about these days, but when I was a football (soccer) referee, spitting was technically a sending off offence. But if players were sent off there'd be no players left on the pitch LoL

In baseball you're encouraged to spit, which is just another reason why it's so much better than soccer.

Nothing wrong with spitting. I do it all the time, but it's when you spit at someone or spit on someones floor or furniture is when it's nasty, but I spit in parking lots, back yard, etc.. It's NOT the end of the world.. Are we supposed to just swallow all that spit/snot? Not on your life! LOL
