  • if you attend a church, see if they have a cherub choir, if not, then just let her grow on her own for now, she's too young. Once she starts school she will be exposed to music programs which you as her parent should be a member of (the parent association)..and then if she is interested in receiving voice lessions get her signed up with a reputable coach. I was fortunate enough to have been in a cherub choir at a young age and my talents were allowed to grow with enouragement from my parents. I only took voice lessons when in high school.
  • I would continue to encourage her to sing. Perhaps buy her some CDs that she can sing along to. Let her have fun for now. If she wants to continue with her singing when she gets older, let her take lessons. I would caution against "pushing" her into performing. She'll let you know if she has a desire to do that. Just make sure it's something SHE wants to do and not something that YOU want her to do.
  • STOP! First ask someone independent of you and your family....for an appraisal, everyone thinks their two year old is marvellous....in truth it will sound like a castrated cat......
  • If you think so, then let her study music for solo singing
  • I've been singing pretty much my whole life (I'm not that good, but I don't sound like a cat going inside a blender, either) and to tell you the truth, my love for singing wasn't really encouraged that much. I didn't have CDs to sing along to. All I really had was the music courses offered in school. I had choir every year of school. I went to concerts and everything to sing with the rest of my class, but that's it. So encourage it as much as you can. Trust me. :)
  • I wasnt exactly discouraged from singing but I never got any support either. I expressed my passion for singing when I was about 11. My mom didnt even ask if I wanted singing lessons. It is honestly the best decision to get them into singing lessons early (if they want to). If they are in lessons through out puberty they will get such a brood range. You could also sing along with her!
