Sounds like you need to consult an attorney, not an open q&a forum.

I think it might be profitable to get a lawyer and countersue for harrassment and damages for the loss of your dog. Guy needs a judge to hand him his ass.

Well people are like that now in days. We had a jack Russell in our neighborhood that bit people and killed cats. Some people in our neighborhood shot it with a bb gun. There is some nasty people in this world to day. Like other peoples answers they say to contact the authority but you have to have proof of the event. I would suggest getting a security camera system put in.

contact the states attorney for your county and see what he has to say. Even though your neighbor had his dog on a leash he did nothing to stop his dog, which may make him responsible for his own problems. You are not responsible for him being disabled, and if he has enough money to hire an attorney and sue you, he has enough to replace his own dog. Since his dog attacked and killed another dog he is not eligible to show anymore and is concidered dangerous. This could have just as easily happened at a dog show. Do not talk to him. He is probably just trying to make you feel sorry so you'll pay him money/settle out of court. If he has had papers served to you, get a lawyer.

Sounds to me like he's full of shit. But don't speak to him at all, have your attorney contact his. Quickly.

He definently would be disalbled after i was done with him and his rott would be too. They'd both be going to their shows in wheels.
