This really depends on where you live, if this is cash off the books and if it is considered to be fair for the care you provide. It seems a little on the low side for me. You are basically making a little over 3 dollars an hour. It would be reasonable for the parent to provide food for their children. Why should you have to cover that? If the person is a family member or friend, you are doing them a great service at a very economical price.

I second that it does seem a bit low and for two kids. I would be chargeing on less than 200 a week for the same thing unless it was a good friend. because a friend pays 400 a month for a 3 month old and that is only one kid 2 and four years olds get in a lot of stuff.

I think you should check the going rates in your area. The Child Advocacy Website, or even talk to In Home Day Care Providers. I strongly agree with your friends and family, there is a distinct possibility that you are being taken advantage of.

I'm 15 and I get paid $5/h, at that rate you should get $50/day x 5 days a week, you should get $250 at least, and providing lunch.

Everyone else has responded pretty much as I would, so I’ll just fifth the assertion: unless there’s something you’re not telling us, you’re getting severely ripped off.
