I don't believe there is a god who either "rewards" or "punishes" us for anything we do/say. It's all in how we think and react to everyday living that brings to us our own 'goods', 'evils', 'rewards' and 'punishments'.

Being a non-believer (atheist) I would dread being cooped up with a bunch of Christian fundamentalists for eternity. I believe in the effect of karma; can be very deep and complex- sort of along with chaos theory- perhaps a person or group of people could be indirectly responsible ultimately causing a war to start and never be aware what 'little thing' may have snowballed into something much larger.. Some minor remark you made perhaps caused a 180 degree change in someone's life.. (hopefully a positive change).. Can be such a complex thing. As a society we are responsible for each other to an extent one may never realise.

the only sin you will be punished for is denying that you believe Jesus and if you reject him, hate him, and want nothing to do with him. denying him if you do know him is the only thing you will not be forgiven for.

Well, if you dont believe that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior and you dont have that relationship with him, you will be punished however there is no level of punishments. karma is not real.
now,say you committed crimes such as murder or rape for example. or comitted adultery or you stole, if you confess your sins to Jesus and ask him for forgiveness, you are forgiven no matter how many times you sinned or no matter what you did. basically Hell is eternal seperation from God. as far as physical torture, i am not entirely sure. as long as you love Jesus with all your heart all your soul and all your mind, you got nothing to worry about. :)

I am unaware of any crimes..there may have been some instances of error in judgment or error in execution..but there was never a time I purposely went out of my way to harm someone..I think "crimes" rely on premeditation, don't you? So I really can't choose, although I tend to believe in karma, which would take care of my "punishment"! :)
