    You would not be allowed to donate blood. There is a small test they give before you give blood to check your red blood count. Giving blood when you are anemic can make you extremely weak.

    6-20-2017 They test for that. There are three types of anemia: iron, copper, and vitamin E. Most people only know of the iron type.

    They don't let you donate if your blood don't sink. It happened to me once when I was being vegetarian, but I just went out and ate a burger and came back and it was fine then.
