If I could create a new religion it would be based upon the philosophical tenets of Sikhism and Buddhism. A religion based upon spiritual purity, intellectual integrity, moral mettle, noble thinking, absolute Love and universal consciousness. An appropriate name for this religion would be something similar to Illuminati, Celiberte, Aryantian, Davidians, Johanians or Lillians... A global religion breeding natural born leaders whether in the home, of corporations or nations, a league of high minded thinkers driven by the will to peace, a peace permitting harmonious spiritual synchronicity of humanity allowing spiritual growth, and equanimity whether a gardener or CEO, the value and importance of each individual to the functioning of society. Success being happiness whether found in wealth or Spartan living. A belief system inspiring quality of life than quantified living, producing a race of genetically strong, naturally peaceful and moral souls. The aim of this faith is not perpetuation of life but liberation of the spirit towards the creation of a one singular dimension by the destruction of barriers creating a multi tier system. The compete eradication of the factors inciting or causing sin nature, the disease and contamination of the human spirit, mind and body until the exacting a race of the sublime. This religion supersedes all other religions that have endeavoured to bring about this perfection but failed in their permitting of flouting principles to accommodate individual ingratiates. I don’t think it such an implausible or difficult task at all, given we are all exasperated with the hypocrisy, bigotry, hate and fear controlling the actions and will of the many.

Love and respect the Creator, also love his creature. My religion would be called Nameless. No books, no rituals, no leaders, no preachers, no worship place. (Worship the Creator with your deeds.) All men and women will be equal. No fantasies, no myths, and no supernatural things…

I would create the religion of Ryantology to change the ways of religions that are not truly compatible with Unitarian Universalism. I would be worshipped.

Well... I guess it depends on how you define religion. If it involves magical beings or impossible events then any rational person is out. And if it's based instead on a rational search for truth then it would look mighty close to Science - which, of course, we already have. The only other alternative I see is something like FSM - which we can have all the fun of (sorta kinda pretending to) believing in but we don't have to sell our rational mind to the devil of idiocy to do. +5
