  • I don't know what you're talking about actually. My trailer smells like apple cinnamon candles. Im not sure what causes it, but I recommend Glade candles lol
  • I don't know if you are thinking about the same smell that I am, but if so, it was caused by high levels of formaldehyde back in the seventies. Basically everything used in trailers back then had formaldehyde in it, but particularly the insulation. I think they've stopped using formaldehyde in insulation since then, and they are using very little wood in them now, so they don't have as much formaldehyde laden plywood in them either. But wherever there is paneling or plywood, there will be formaldehyde. I know my great-aunt's and uncle's trailer at their hunting camp back in the seventies had so much formaldehyde in it that I couldn't breathe in there. I didn't know I had asthma back then. Its a wonder that trailer didn't kill me. http://www.epa.gov/iaq/formalde.html
  • 8-2-2017 It is formaldehyde from the laminated paneling. It is nasty stuff. You can google it to see about treatments.
