Has anyone read the flowers in the attic series by vc andrews? in the second book when Cathy confronts her mum about Cory's body, when in the book has she found the room with the rotting odor?

I am pretty sure that Cathy finds Corys body in that room right after she revisits the attic, because she takes the other way out of the attic, the way that the old armoires used to block. So she finds it right after she puts on her mothers dress and goes up to the attic to waste time until midnight.

It wasn't mentioned. She just tells her mother about it. I assume it happened between the time she left the attic and the time she goes down the stairs though.
