I thought that about my psychology teacher my first quarter in college. She walked in and when we saw her face we all just knew she was going to be a real b**ch. She ended up being one of the nicest people we had ever met. Can't judge a book by its cover.

No, looks can be deceiving. As they say don't judge a book by ots cover. Besides i met this bikie once, really mean looking guy, big, strong, tatts everywhere and he is one of the nicest guys i have ever met.

I try not to assume things about a person. I look like I'm about to kill someone in one of my yearbook pictures, but that is totally opposite of my personality. So, therefore I don't assume mean-looking people are mean people. I normally get bad vibes from the smooth-talkers! lol. Kinda weird, but oh well. It takes me YEARS and YEARS to open up to them. But the people that look mean? I open up to them faster.

no... i'd assume they were upset, or that they can have that neutral natural looking harshness to them... in my days, when i'm upset and a stranger smiles, i always feel that much better a smile truly can make a difference

No! Some people (like me) have a serious look on our faces all the time because we work hard for a living, and have to put up with alot of crap from other, mostly ignorant people. Just say hi and you will see that smile shine through. :) <---

Yea if they look mean, and i do mean, Mean not serious, i would have to think they want other people to at least view them this way, so chances are they are indeed mean.

I don't think so, in a movie, actors act like a cruel but real life they are different.I know some but not all, You know that a pictures tells thousand words.
