Firstly, newer anti-depressants should NOT be causing nausea...if they are then you (or whoever) should find a different med. The side effects should be EXTREMELY mild and disappear within the first couple of weeks.

Regarding anti-depressants, I think it's more worth considering the chemical alterations in one's body as a result of smoking marijuana or taking anti-depressants, and if those changes from each,(when combined) are safe or smart to attempt, nausea from anti-depressants is one thing, but possibly something much worse (from a combinatin of the two) could be far worse, and should be considered.

I'm on Cipralex (known as Lexapro in the states) and I smoked weed for the first time on it the other day. It was the scariest feeling of my life, it was like coming down from a really hard drug. I was paranoid, anxious, jumpy at any voices or sudden movements, and I was extremely nauseous and sick from it. I know it wasn't the amount of weed I smoked, it was less than I normally have, so it was the mixing of drugs. I have no idea why that happens, or what exactly did happen, but I looked around the web and found out that it has happened to others too. I don't recommend weed while on antidepressants, and the one I'm on is a newer one. Your choice, you might be effected less than me, but I would say not to risk it.

I smoke weed, and it's never helped me with any pain or nausea. Any time I feel ill, I put it down because it does not help at all. It does help with anxiety and appetite. The worst thing I can do if I feel the flu coming on is smoke weed. Ick.
