  • Never - I was terrified. I would even hold it and suffer rather than ask to use the restroom, I was that timid. I gained some self-confidence in college, but it's still difficult for me to speak out or ask questions in public.
  • I raise my hand a few times a week in college. About the same as high school.
  • I often asked questions in my religion class in Catholic school to annoy the teacher. It got to the point where my teachers started to completely ignore me.
  • All through school I say in the thousands. I was very inquisitive and a hunger for knowledge.
  • I had exactly the opposite experience. I nearly always knew the answer, and I always raised my hand, but the teachers ignored me. It ruined my sense of self esteem. I thought there was something wrong with me, and that's why they never called on me. The other students called me teacher's pet, and it just made the whole school experience the most excruciating thing I had to endure. I believe my whole school experience was just like enduring torture every day of the week.
  • Probably seven or eight times a day.
  • In high school at least once a class so at least seven or eight times a day, now that I am in college not quite as much... I take four classes a day and maybe raise my hand during each class so three to four times a day.
  • It's the same with me.
