I heard that car salesmen will change the speedometer to make a test drive car look brand new. Is this true? Is there any way for me to know for sure?

I find it hard to tell for sure but I know here in Canada it,s illegal for car salesmen to do that. Also - the higher the mileage - the lower the cost of the vehicle and some of these salesmen are dishonest enough to do this just to make a lousy buck so be careful. Cheers!
