Verizon has worked well for me.
TATA Indicome!
The only one that works where I live is AT&T.
I like Verizon. Their coverage seems to be better than any of the others I've dealt with.
t-mobile
We have prepaid plans with Alltell, which just got better when Verizon took 'em over. Just read that competition is up on prepaid plans, so I'll be looking for a better deal. I will never sign a contract just to get a free phone 'cause it isn't really free.
I only have one cell phone service provider, T-Mobil. But I'm pretty happy with them.
I have always had good service and good Customer Service from At&t formerly Cingular. Its affordable and has good service.
I know it depends where you live and how many towers are around, but I live in the country with lots of trees and mountainous areas and I still get a clear signal and have never had a dropped call in 14 years with Verizon! Of course, when I got my first cellphone it wasn't yet Verizon.
verizon is fantastic, when i got deployed to go to iraq, i was in texas and had no service, within a week verizon had put up a new tower and we had excellent reception, no other phone company bothered to do this for its customers that i was there with
in india it is tata telecom.5
here it is NOKIA for good mobiles!
I'm with Virgin Mobile, and very happy, great deal and a great phone :-)
Everybody and nobody - how YOU define "best" depends on what you're looking for.
Verizon tends to be most reliable in terms of just being able to get a signal.
AT&T allows you to roll over unused minutes and is the only authorized distributor of the iPhone (if you care).
T-Mobile is the only authorized distributor of the Android phone (if you care), and offers dual radio phones that let you use your cell for free over WiFi where available.
And so forth with other carriers - if you just want a phone to keep in your car, they can all do that and at similar prices. When you get into other features and offerings they each do things a little differently and you have to decide what's the best fit for how you will use it.
Do you use it a lot or a little? What kind of phone and features on the phone do you need? Do you need data access as well as voice? Where do you live and work and travel and (based on the online maps) how strong is their signals in these areas?
Once you've figured out what general kind of phone you need and what features you need, you can visit some of their stores and compare what's available. There's enough competition that you can often get special deals if you keep your eyes open.
I would advise that Sprint is bleeding customers right now - I understand they have significant customer service issues and you might want to avoid them.
In Michigan, Verizon has the best coverage, by far.
i prefer Verizon I am 8 yr customer
It is my experince that Verizon wireless has the best cell phone service. I live in Arizona and I had T-mobile before Verizon. Everyone was telling me it was the way to go because they have the best and most affordable plans. This is the case, however i find their coverage to be very spotty and call quality was often weak. So I switched to Verizon and the Difference is like night and day. My calls where much more clear and I found i often have coverage when even when friends with other services don't. Basically any other service would suffice for someone who uses their cell phone just for keeping casual connectins between family and friends. However, for those of us who rely on our cell phones for business and other work related activities,Verizon is the way to go. Their coverage is the best, their phones are ergonomic and user friendly, (not to mention the coolest of any service despite AT&T's iPone) and calls, emails, texts, pics, and videos come in quick and clear leaving the user with less to worry about so they can getback to what really matters. Besides cell phones are supposed to make your life easier and i can confidently say that Verizon Wireless acheives this goal more effeciently than any other cell phone service. It may cost a little more but spending a few extra bucks is far better than being standed somewhere or in an emergency and your cell phone is "Searching for Service". Verizon is the best!!
Depends on where you live. In one city, I used Sprint but now I've switched to Verizon. How was your appt. today?
I previously had a Verizon phone which I gave up in favor of a NET10 prepaid because of some serious unresolved complaints.
Since then I've found NET10's service to be great. Their coverage is better than I used to get and I'm saving quite a bit of money on a monthly basis.
At 10c a minute with no hidden costs and no monthly bills I can recommend it to anyone.
Check the service based on your calling area. Are you working/living in one area...Are leaving the country. Check out the coverage map on the T-Mobile site. www.t-mobile.com You put in your zip and in a matter of seconds you see if it's a good fit.

I've tried AT&T, Cingular, Nextel and Verizon. So far, Verizon is a clear winner.
I have a Nextel, which is kind of Sprint and I almost never lose reception.
verizon of course, i won't use anyone else.
