  • No. With the current debt crisis and the dollar dropping like a rock, cutting taxes in any way is simply going to make the problem bigger. Just consider doing something closer to home or taking a flight.
  • In my state where it is tax free, it might nice to have a 'gas tax holiday' -- why not?? :-)
  • Nope. The sooner people get frustrated over high gas prices, the sooner someone will find other sources of power.
  • The 'gas tax holiday' is a joke! The Fed gets billions in tax dollars from everything else anyway. I say stop printing funny money and dumping it into our system and stop borrowing so much $$ from China. Get the dollar back up to what it's value should be and stop putting "band aids" on the problems...FIND SOME REAL SOLUTIONS! Thanks Ed for the question! :D
  • Economists say No..a coupla duplicitous politicians say Yes..I'll go with the economists on this one. Total political promiscuity..sell the body/soul for votes from the gullible! Shame on them! If they don't know any better, why in the he** do we want them to be our President? If they do know better and are just doing this for political posturing, why in the he** do we want them for president? :(
  • I think it would be a great idea for the government to repeal the gas tax permanently. Besides the government doesn't use the tax for what it is was intended for anyway.
  • A gas tax holiday is horrible. Quite simply we need to put a price freeze on gas and then jack up the taxes on oil companies, and take back some of the money they've stolen from us. Force the companies that make $50,000 a minute in profit to kick back into our economy.
