Hi, Galeanda..I've never bought or sold anything on eBay..I think of eBay as this vast amorphous blob..all kinds of unknown things floating around, none of which I can touch, or see up close and personal. I know it is exeedingly popular..I hear of all the fabulous deals people make..I say that's great! I'm not comfortable dealing with that kind of environment! I like to touch and see in person whatever it is I'm going to buy before I buy it! Happy Thursday and Happy May 1st! :) ((hugs))
Many times. The best was when I sold a set of minor league baseball cards (1995 West Palm Beach Expos) for $115. I paid $5 for them. It was a numbered set out of 2,000 and it had 2 Vladimir Guerrero cards in the set.
I do it all the time, another great place, that is free online classifieds, is Craigslist.org, check it out, you will love it.
Every week. I buy AAA batteries in bulk (on eBay) in lots of 200 and 400. When I receive them, I break them into lots of 50 and sell them for profit. I have bought 200 for $14, and turned around and sold 50 (from the same set that I paid $14 for) for $12. You just have to know what buyers want. When I started selling the batteries, the only thing that was available on eBay were lots of 200+ batteries. I figured that a lot of people didn't need or want 200 batteries, but that they might want 50 of them. Now everyone has jumped on the band wagon though. I also sell hats. I have a supplier that sells them to me for $2.50 each, and I sell them almost daily for $11.99 each.
Nope... I don't sell on Ebay.
Too complicated and too many scam artists.
Yes, quite a lot. I bought a whole lot of sewing supplies cheap and sold some of them off at very handsome profits! Helped me get to Bali to see the orphanages I support.
No

Nothing wrong with doing business eyeball to eyeball and touching the merchandise. I guess because I always lived far out from shopping and depended on catalogs for many things, it became a natural to shop online, especially since online I can ask questions and get more photos of all sides and inside and under lol! And I've found that meeting a few good vendors you trust and it's like your local store you love and you trust each other. I have a couple that they will send the item, even if I haven't paid yet since they trust me. And for selling things like collectibles for high prices, it sure helps to find those two crazy people that must have that "thing" and battle it out for it LOL!!!

I understand what you mean because I have been disappointed a few times with online shopping. But, on the overall average, you can save so much money and there is so much available online that you would never, ever find in a store.
