Hi, Galeanda..I've never bought or sold anything on eBay..I think of eBay as this vast amorphous blob..all kinds of unknown things floating around, none of which I can touch, or see up close and personal. I know it is exeedingly popular..I hear of all the fabulous deals people make..I say that's great! I'm not comfortable dealing with that kind of environment! I like to touch and see in person whatever it is I'm going to buy before I buy it! Happy Thursday and Happy May 1st! :) ((hugs))

I understand what you mean because I have been disappointed a few times with online shopping. But, on the overall average, you can save so much money and there is so much available online that you would never, ever find in a store.

Hi, Mikeisha. I've heard that from many people..my son shops online all the time and gets really great deals. Happy Sunday! :)

Many times. The best was when I sold a set of minor league baseball cards (1995 West Palm Beach Expos) for $115. I paid $5 for them. It was a numbered set out of 2,000 and it had 2 Vladimir Guerrero cards in the set.

Wow! Good for you:-) Isn't it fun? Thanks!

It was fun. Too bad I didn't have a few more. I kept 2 for myself. The losing bidder offered me the high bid price if I would sell him one of my sets.

It is like a job for me, we also go junking, and find a lot of great stuff, to resell.
Avatar Galeanda Apr, 30 2008 at 01:52 PM
Yup, we've got relatives in the antiquing business and it's amazing what you can find and resell lol!

If you know what to look for, it is fun and profitable.

Every week. I buy AAA batteries in bulk (on eBay) in lots of 200 and 400. When I receive them, I break them into lots of 50 and sell them for profit. I have bought 200 for $14, and turned around and sold 50 (from the same set that I paid $14 for) for $12. You just have to know what buyers want. When I started selling the batteries, the only thing that was available on eBay were lots of 200+ batteries. I figured that a lot of people didn't need or want 200 batteries, but that they might want 50 of them. Now everyone has jumped on the band wagon though. I also sell hats. I have a supplier that sells them to me for $2.50 each, and I sell them almost daily for $11.99 each.

Nope... I don't sell on Ebay.

Too complicated and too many scam artists.

Interesting. I've been using eBay since 1999 and have never had one bad experience buying or selling, everything up to a huge 27' moving van. The closest I came to a bad deal was buying a small stuffed mouse from Germany and it never made it here, but they gave me some of my money back, as much as they legally could in Germany. We built our house with the aid of eBay, sinks, toilets, fridge, stove, faucets, lighting, rugs, not one a bad deal, even the fridge had a problem and they sent out a part to fix it and paid for the fixing with one phone call. Don't let the naysayers convince you it's a bad place, because it's not at all. But thanks:-)

Yes, quite a lot. I bought a whole lot of sewing supplies cheap and sold some of them off at very handsome profits! Helped me get to Bali to see the orphanages I support.
