Right after I got off my birth control, I got pregnant two months later, then at three months they said the babys heart stoped so I had to have a D&C, its now been three months, even though we were told to wait til after three months to try again, we started trying right away and still nothing is happening, I am starting to wonder if maybe its something having to do with the operation, It may be bad for you and make it so you cant get pregnant again, I just want to know what they do in that surgery because I just have this feeling, it has to do with that.

I have heard that we are more fertile right after misscarraige/D&C... I had a missed misscarraige years ago, then a d&C. It took me 6 months to get pregnant again, probably because I was a basket case emotionally. My first daughter came into this world healthy and her two little sisters soon followed every 2 years. I just recently had another missed misscarraige and a d&c. It has now been 3 weeks since and I think I'm pregnant! I hope this one is successful...

I'm kinda in the same boat. I had a D&C in April 08, the Dr told us to wait 3 months before trying again. So we did, and we're still trying. We've had no luck. I'm starting to think it's me?? However, my 1st pregnancy was great. I have a 1 1/2 yr old daughter, who's such a joy. Getting pregnant the 1st time was sooo easy, first try.....bam....& I was pragnant. I'm praying God will bless us with a baby soon.

That's a good question. I also had a D&C back in November. Our doctor told us to wait 2 months (or cycles) before trying again. We have now been trying for 4 months and have had no luck. The first time we got pregnant, it happened during the first month of trying.

Good luck!

I don't think its harder, but I do know that there could be a lot of feelings in regard to your loss that may cause you to wait longer before trying again. That was the case with my wife and I anyway. We needed time to grieve for the loss of what would have been our first child. Good Luck!!

I don't think it matters. Some people even seem to think it helps as there are stories of women getting pregnant 2-3 weeks right after one.

And also, you placed this question in Answerbag>Feedback. I moved the question to Pregnancy?Getting Pregnant so more people might run into the question and give you more experiences.
