Assuming that you include all plant matter under the heading of either fruit or vegetable, and also assuming that you are excluding foods made from fruits and vegetables, fish from a clean environment is probably the healthiest thing. Yogurt and kefir are probably pretty good as well. As far as meat goes, organ meat tends to have more vitamins than muscle meat. Honey is also good, though some consider it to be a plant food, others believe it is a non-vegetarian product because it contains enzymes added by bees.

White meat like turkey is a very good source of lean protein. Also, seeds and nuts are great (most don't consider them to be fruits or veggies).

Here are a couple items that are not fruits or veggies and are concidered healthy foods. Raw honey is exceptionally good for you. It can also be used to treat burns or skin irritations. (Try it for facials and see how smooth it makes your skin.) Another one you should try is bee pollen which is good for people with allergies. Bee pollen gives you a quick burst of energy and can be carried in a small plastic bag and nibbled as needed. It taste good, too. Other foods not concidered fruits or vegetables would include grains and cereals, a highly important part of a diet that includes enough fiber for proper dietary intake. These would include oats, rice, lentles, bran, etc. Some like to include items like the leaves and flowers of nastursums, with its peppery taste, sunflower seeds for protien, herbs for flavor, pine nuts, daisies, and also feel free to chow down on the roses, pansies and violets. Surely you have heard of candies pansies. There are day lily blooms, mallow, and squash blossoms, to eat as well. Chartreuse, a classic green liqueur developed in France in the seventeeth century, boasts carnation petals as one of its secret ingredients? And, dandelions were one of the bitter herbs referred to in the Old Testament of the Bible. Bean blossoms have a sweet, beany flavor. Johny-Jump-Ups have a mild wintergreen taste. Violets, roses and lavender lend a sweet flavor to salads or desserts. Bright yellow calendulas are an economic alternative to expensive saffron, though not quite as pungent. Others may have a spicy or peppermint flavor. A great site to go check out is: http://homecooking.about.com/library/weekly/blflowers.htm Here you can find a list of all the edible flowers and which ones you should not eat. Be careful not to go out and start munching all the flowers in your garden. Some may just disagree with your taste buds or your body. Like with mushrooms, some are poisonous, so do your research first. There are of course, other items like meats and poultry, and fish. Drop a few flowers in the mix and see the look on everyones face and they chow down. Happy eating.
