Have you ever set your VCR to REC. a special movie or event when you where gone, & only find out later that you did not set the time or date correct or forgot to put in the blank tape?

yes, it is called error and trial. do you think you will do it right the next time? its not quite as bad as not puting film in the camera and then taking pictures all day with no film. hardly a problem with digital cameras.

Yes something for my dad once, he made sure I never made that mistake again.

A few times. One on my VCR's needed to have a different button pressed than the other in order for the timer recording to be set correctly.

YES, but my best one was when I set the VCR to quit at 10 pm and the darn program/show went to 10:05so missed the last 5minutes, which, of course, included the 'who done it'! ggrrrrrrrrrr
