Neck pain is so intense that it can radiate to cause extreme headaches. Other than seeing a chiropractor, I recommend very hot showers, the right pillow and mattress, and Goodys powder.

Are your neck and back hurting when you dont have migraines as well? if so, I reccommend a chiropractor. I have problems with my neck, back, and hips, degeneration and tendonitus in both knees, and really weak ankles. (and I'm 15..) so I'm currently being tested for JRA- juvinal rheumatoid arthritus. getting massaged and adjusted at a chiropractor works MIRACALS fo me..if it can work for a person with as many problems as me, I'm sure it'll be good for you :] good luck, Mollie

I never suffered from migraines until after I was in a motorcycle accident and herniated 3 disc in my neck. The damage wasn't discovered until 2 years later, even though I had an MRI done shortly after. I suggest you go to a neurologist. My headaches were classic migraines complete with aura, sensitivity to light, and inability to speak. I haven't had a migraine since I started using a home traction device and physical therapy. Good luck.

It can, but if you have a very bad headache and a stiff neck - go straight to an emergency room. I had what I thought was a migraine, but my neck hurt and was stiff (couldn't put my chin on my chest). The headache was worse than any migraine I had ever had, I ended up in the Emergency Room, where they did a spinal tap and found out that I had meningitis. So, if your neck is stiff - don't wait get to an emergency room.
