I wouldn't say it was a bad thing. It is a very natural and common thing for people in their adolescence to think about their own death. Death can be a scary subject especially if it is not adequately addressed at a fairly young age. On the other hand though I do see how it could be mentally damaging to a young person to spend all their time pondering their own death.

My advice is to realize death is inevitable. Death is scary yes, but their is nothing anything or anyone can do to avoid it. Why not accept the fact that someday your life will end and actually start living your life...otherwise you will spend your life worrying about losing a life that you are never going to really live in the first place....sorry kind of confusing I know...Good luck.

I think it depends what aspect you think about. If you spend all your time worrying about it, and being frightened of how you might die, and what will happen after you die, then I do think it's a bit unhealthy.

Of course, you may be thinking about it from a philosophical point of view, and thinking about how your death will have a lasting effect on everything else, I'd say that that's ok, as long as it doesn't occupy your thoughts to a point where it inhibits your life now.

Personally, whilst I don't really think about my own death that much, I have planned my funeral to a point. A least, if I got killed tomorrow, my family know what sort of funeral I want. So I guess I think about my death quite a lot in that way, I'm always coming up with new, quirkier ideas for it!

Just so you know, I want it to be really fun. I'm having the theme tune to the UK countdown programme played, I'm having the song 'I'm the Urban Spaceman', and everyone has to wear bubble wrap on their feet and dance! I'm also having a few helium balloons tied to my box (or coffin, but I hate that word), and people have to burst party poppers as I'm carried past them.

Plus, it's necessary and very important in a lot of circumstances to think about your own death, no matter how old or young you are.
For example, to consider whether you want to be an organ donor after you die, you have to think about your own death.
In my family, my parents spoke to me about organ donation from when I was very small. around three. Then, when I was old enough to understand fully, around the age of fivw, they asked me whether I'd want to donate my organs should I die.

Not really, just don't obsess over it. We all consider the possibility from time to time.
