As far as i know, it means that they think you are very arrogant and think the world of yourself, as if your the best. I know because i have been told it :P

The person who is full of himself thinks that he is a gift to the mankind. I have come across a few of those, eh, gifts.

It means you are vain and self opinionated and think you are better than anyone else.

It means, 'You're a narcissist!', often used contemptuously implying vanity, egotism or simple selfishness.

It can also mean that they think you are, besides the above, a rude, hateful person who can have nothing better to do than to make others' lives miserable. That may be what it means, but it may be someone trying to be rude to YOU. So take it with a grain of salt because if the person who said it to you already hated you and has no accurate basis for these feelings anyway you may have to dismiss it for the moment.

To me it has always meant that one is overly impressed with himself, very self-centered, and /or considers himself superior to the average person.

Is everyone not full of themselves? Who else would they be full of? Unless they have a donated organ. Or they practice cannibalism...

It can mean that a person has a Big ego or that person is full of crap, lol

That you are extremely in love with yourself, egotistical and very vain. Or something good has happened and you just seem pleased with yourself or happy about it.
