Help answer this question below.

My car stalls when coming to a stop. Also the headlights and all electrical devices fade/lose power when taking my foot of the excellerator. Any suggestions? Could a bad Catalytic convertor cause this? 78 corolla, 1.2l engine, 5spd manual tran

    Either your alternator is dead or dying or there is a short or other serious electrical problem that is causing a signifant load. No to the catalytic converter question.
