Why would he want to get circumcised? Unless there is a problem ,I'd stay as I am. Seems to me there would be less feeling if he did get circumcised later in life. There is not any higher risk of any disease. So, WHY? Besides, why give up any more length?

If left untreated, the result could be skin loss or gangrene. Circumcision usually offers the only permanent solution. So, if your doctor recommends the procedure, I'd do it. What happens would be up to you and your own mental ability. You CAN NOT get the length back, so why lose it? It's a very controversial issue which can be blown out of proportion by the thousands of people, who , when they were babys", had no say so in the matter.

The healing process is worse for men than infants because of the occasional erection (such as in the middle of the night) will be very painful. I suspect there are drugs that will suppress erections though.

Actually, one of my friends had that done to him when he was twelve... he said he was drugged up, but it hurt later and he didn't get out of bed for the next couple of days... and he has a scar.

i was circumcised at the age of 59, four years ago,at custom house surgery London. there was no pain what so ever. i had read so much rubbish on the procedure i didnt know what to expect-i made an appointment-talked to doctor,took off trousers & pants, got on table,injections,had operation, stayed night in local hotel,then went home by train, only regret not having courage to do it early in life.

I was circumcised at the age of 50yrs old and wish I had been circumcised as a teenager. An adult can select the type of circumcision, Tight or loose, before the surgery takes place.

I had it done when i was 26. I am 33 now and find sex very uncomfortable as the area where the knife went is too sensitive. I can tell you honestly I dont feel I enjoy sex anymore, it's more of a task. This is really terrible because i still have a very high sex drive but i cant enjoy it. So my advice ...DONT DO IT! :(

In many if not most cultures, circumcision can be and is performed at virtually any and every age. Those that have experienced and remembered sex before and after usually find it a vast improvement. It should be explained and made available to all uncut boys about the age of starting school, or no later than puberty anyway.
