I didn't get to breast feed, but these are somethings my friends have done with their children. One child refused to take a bottle as well, he was around the same age as your child. She ended up giving him a sippy cup called a Nuby cup, it has a soft silicone spout that is similar to a mothers breast. Another friend gave her son a regular sippy cup to play with a few weeks before she started to wean. As she breast fed less and less, she substituted cup for breast. There are a ton of different kinds of sippy cups, maby one with out a valve would work for your daughter until she gets the hang of it. It was a huge struggle for us to take our son off of the bottle, he refused to drink from a cup, so for the first few days I made sure he ate a lot of juicy fruit, so he was properly hydrated. I googled 'weaning a breastfed baby' and pages and pages came up, but these are two of my favorite sites for when we have problems with our son. http://www.askdrsears.com/ http://www.drgreene.com/ I wish you the best, good luck!

This is a technique I have heard. Wait till the baby is a little hungrier than usual (just a little). Then have someone besides mom give the bottle. It is thought that if the baby is fed by someone that they don't relate with breast feeding it goes easier.
