  • It depends on your metabolism. If you have a fast one, you burn calories faster, breath faster, and generally have less motor control (twitchy fingers) and generally seem peppier. It's basically the opposite with a slow metabolism. The eating rates differ in the digestion speeds.
  • Subculture. If you are raised in a fast eating family, chances are that you are a fast eater. I grew up the skinny kid in a fat family. I'm pretty sure that if I ate a little quicker, I'd have more meat on my bones.
  • It also can depend on your social situation. If you are visiting your date's parents, it would NOT be a good idea to wolf down your food like it was your last meal. Plus, since there will undoubtedly be conversation, this leisurely pace will allow you to contribute better.
  • maybe how aggresive you are. If you think someone will still your food, you eat fast. its also hunger.
