• Yep, that is very close to me in Berlin. Yeah I dont think I'll be swimming in there any time soon... I swam in it before in the 80s when I was a child and got very sick from it. My parents never took me back there.

• Your not far at all. That was about the last time for me too. There was way too many jelly fish in that water, plus it's still dirty. Now we just go to enjoy the broadwalk and hope to win some money.

• Ocean City is nice if you want to go swimming but no gambling there. lol But I love the boardwalks no matter what shore!!

• It was enjoyable but it's way too crowded now. The private beach my parents thought they had has now been opened up to the public and there is even parking and a restroom building right below them lol!!! If you can....ALWAYS buy your view. Or something may happen to it:-(

• On a small river on the Canadian Shield in Ontario---surrounded by 100+ year old white pines. A beautiful place! (Bracing for the 'soon to arrive feisty blackflies,' mind...) ':)

• thats a tough one there is alot to love. the recreation, this is where people from town come to get away from it all on the weekends and it really snaps and pops.
  Also the history, The Comanche's used to rule here and there are alot of story's and relics.

• I basically 'grew up' on this stretch of the river. Used to live in the 'Big City' & cottage up here with the family, as a young child... Canoe rides to local rapids at one end & half-decent falls at the other, with a picnic basket in tow; getting 8 or so of us kids on the raft & tipping it over; sand castles with guppies we'd catch in the 'moat'; visiting my aunt & uncle's often, as it was right next door... Before long, the whole family moved North. Now, its simply 'home.' :)

• I "discovered" this river in the 80's and have hung out here ever since we used to airboat up and down until gas got so high. inb the past 6 months several of us have gotten lots in Horseshoe bend, parker county tx if you can google it. Memorial day we are having our first big bash should be lots of fun

  ...about the "MIRACLES" thread: I'm going to share about SO MANY REAL, LIVE MIRACLES here on Answerbag, it'll be "comin' out you ears!" And that will be 90% just from me & my Christian friends who live here in Muskoka, Canada & from our own international missions experiences of praying for each other & many others. And even stories of miracles that have happened to people who don't even know God, that Jesus has healed through my & my friends' prayers. "Hold on tight & don't wet your pants jest yet, 'cause the fun is just beginning---" And the BEST PART of it all is that its ALL TRUE. (!!!) Every last bit of it. I don't have time to waste for lies or deception.

• :) No problem. I'd just heard her interviewed on a Christian program called "Focus on the Family" by James Dobson earlier on the same day. Sounds like an intelligent young woman of faith. I don't have much time to read all my comments on my 'miracles' answer---pretty busy today with a sale at work. But I WILL post a new miracle---not the one I'd thought I would next. Rather, one prompted by one of (I think) Rasha's comment, which made me laugh & laugh when I'd read it! :) ...I'll explain in my answer.
