  • THEY totally got this idea from Q102, a local radio station. Anyway, their idea was that mediated debates never get down to the actual facts... they talk about things that we hear over and over and over again and we just want to know what are you going to do for us. I think if anything it would strengthen the party BUT I think it will weaken Obama's case. I don't think he is the best unscripted speaker. An amazing orator who I voted for but... I think Clinton would "win".
  • I don't think it should affect it at all. Personally, I would love to see an unmediated debate. Clinton, I think will hold her own, I think Obama seems to have a harder time expressing himself sometimes. Even when there is a mediator, Obama seems cautious. Im sure Clinton will bring up the Rev. Wright amoung other things!
  • Hussein will never agree. He has no ideas or answers about anything. Also when he talks without a script he sounds like the fool he is.
  • Sen. Obama will never agree. because he has nothing to gain. he's in the lead.
  • This always happens, when one contender is down but close to out, she/he ALWAYS asks for a new debate. Sometimes moderated, sometimes not. Obama won't do it, he has nothing to gain and everything thing to lose. How would this affect the race? Well, Clinton is currently cutting down the only real contender against mccain, the debate would only make it worse.
  • I think this debate would be a good idea for the purposes of finding out what they really stand for. I have never been much of a supporter for mediated debates, it leads to a set ups of one candidate or another and preplanned Q&A's. Let the candidates stand on their own two feet and answer the questions without rehearsals.
