If you are referring to the “Vanity Fair” cover shoot, which she did along with her father, then this is just an example of how individual stars pursue publicity. She wants to be viewed as mature – for the girls her age that are growing up with her. She wants to be viewed as “innocent” to her younger fans and to Disney – her main employer. She is trying to play it both ways, just like a young Brittany did. Perhaps she is managed by the same people? Please, someone just make her go away.

People who are Miley's age want to feel older and want to be considered an adult. This is a way for her to feel like an adult and to make money at the same time. She just needs to slow down.

I think it was all planned. They knew exactly what they were doing, and it's worked out beautifully. Her stupid face is everywhere, still yet, only for "more exciting" reasons. Disgusting.

This girl has put herself in a spot, hasn't she? I can see her point of view: she needs to market herself in order to have a future...and she doesn't want to be stuck doing Disney all her life. So, she changes her image. However I also see the other end of the debate. Here is a girl who fronts herself as a G-rated Disney role-model. Whose audience is children. Doing what she did by posing with a nude back was reckless because it could confuse the kids who are her fans. In my opinion: she should have waited until her contract with Disney was finished.

whoa!!!! Scandalous!!! Man, that's the tamest controversial pic I've ever seen. So, she's 15. Big deal. Sign of the times. You've got 12 year olds getting laid in the school washrooms, and having orgies. A photo like that, which to me doesn't even seem sexual, just artistic, isn'tmaking kids think that sex is okay now since miley was nude ina magazine. Kids see WAY worse on yv, and they are growing up with free porn everywhere on the internet. Those phtos are only scandalous to people who didn't grow up in the internet age. Kids her age couldn't care less about that. You'd see more if she wore a bathing suit, which I'm sure she does. Wait till she's on vacation and the paparazzi shoot her while at the beach. Then will everyone be saying the same thing? OMG, Miley has...has... A BODY!!!!! Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrggghhhh!!!!!! Run for your lives, lock up your daughters, here comes media to defile your children!
