I would say The Grudge, it was in Asian in the first place and then they put it in english, it is an awesome movie, also, if you could say the 'scary movie' movies were a remake I would definately chose that!

Many say the remake of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Omen and the Amityville horror. I have seen all three in old and new. I don't think the Amityville horror was good at all, the original TCM was bloody terriofying, but not the second, and the remake of the omen is scarier than the first, so a pretty mixe bag

well i dont know if this is an answer or an opinion but i think tcm (texas chainsaw mas the orig) was better.

Miracle on 34th Street. Richard Attenborough is the perfect Santa, and Mara Wilson is an absolute gem!! Siskel and Ebert hated remakes, but gave it two thumbs up anyway!
