Because, i think, it often has hidden reasoning behind it and i just find it sort of sinister and sad, there are also lots of dangers with participating in it... It is also the total objectification of people - the people involved are there purely to be looked at, there is no way for somone to understand the person or value them for their traits other than the physical... It is also voyeristic and, although it is there for that reason (and with knowledge), some may find that to be a slightly unsettling notion. I'm not going to attempt to stop others from watching it or anything, that is their choice, but I would not want to. I just wonder why people choose that particular line of work... EDIT - also it is open to exploitation which is a very important factor... who really knows beside the people making the film?

assuming is a pretty big step for the viewer to make...not knowing anything about how the film was made and who was paid what.

Assuming as in for the sake of argument - I never said anything about the viewer.
