I have a saltwater tank and have noticed a snail that has a almost flat round hard shell with about 6 or 7 tips extending outward. What is this?

    Could be a Chiton. They are flat shelled mollusks that are a common hitchiker on live rock. Can't tell for sure without seeing a photo.
