Hanging
What I am doing is my homework, also a crossword puzzel. The clue says: Type of indent used in a reference list. Can you help?
It's the hanging indent. If you need to know how to do it, ctrl and t is what you push.
THANKS.
For the indents, a .5 inch hanging indent is standard. The abbreviations, I believe, are specific to your paper format (APA, MLA, etc.) but the rule that I use is don't abbreviate things that you would say fully, for example, you don't abbreviate World War I but you would NAACP.
