Related HOW...? Immediate relations, a parents' immediate relations, or 1st cousins? Depends on if the relationship was consumated or not. Not knowing they are related is a mitigating factor... 2nd cousins on? No. Look into your family history. I'm willing to bet that in the last 100 years, you had a number of 1st cousins, step-brothers/sisters, and so on marrying. While today, that's considered taboo, I think part of the reason is the closeness of the families involved, and if something goes wrong in the relationship, the families may need to "take sides" tearing it apart.

Incest is incest, whether you meant to or not.

Isn't incest defined by sexually explicit behaviour and beyond between two closely related people? Don't know how close you have to be, but even in that range I don't think it's the emotions that draw two people to get down that is considered as incest, but rather merely the getting down. And whether one is aware of the credentials for incest or not, it's still incest.

if your brother and sister, yes it is incest! cousins... i would say yes. Any blood relation would be considered incest.

If you weren't brought up as brother and sister, say one of you were given up for adoption, how could that be considered the same thing? you found each other naturally, and that's beautiful. Going forward, knowing what you know now, I have to think thais only makes everything hotter :D

It is incest, but they shouldn't feel bad about it. They didn't know. Now, if they continue the relationship after they learn they're related that's just sick.

I believe it would depend on the degree of relationship (planning to marry??) ..... and probably the laws vary from state to state. If the couple didn't know they were too closely related, it would/could be incest - again depending on the laws where you live. If the couple was aware of their relationship, well ...... !!!! i have a similar story.......i was about maybe 25....i was hanging out at a bar one night...met a really cute blonde......she was around the same age, at the time......we hit it off.....immediately.....i had never seen her before......or, knew who she was......we had some crazy sex..........a few month's later, i found out that it was the third cousin on my mom's side that i had never met.......i had no idea.....i guess that is incest.....but, had i known who she was, i never would have done that.......but, later, after she knew that i knew who she was, she wanted to do it again.....of course, i never did that with her again........B

i say No I have a really strange story I was adopted & grew right next door to a beautiful girl who was also adopted. We fell in love in high school got married right after high school graduation. We had 2 perfectly healthy sets of brother/sister twins while we were in college & after college graduation ea. W/ a medical degree. we found out we were twins separated at birth. The same day we found out she told me she was pregnant w/ our 3rd set of brother/sister twins after they were born. We had a lot of testing done & found out that no matter how many children we have they’ll never have any health problems. B/c after we met our biological parents we found out. that out parents are genticaly related. Our mother is product of father/daughter incest & our father in product of mother/son incest & our mom’s dad & our dad’s mom are product of incest which get even more confusing. b/c from what they said, the incest is all in the same gentic pool which goes back to some time in the 1700s & none of us have had any health problems. the reason y we were put up for adoption is B/c our mom was 13 & our dad was 11 & right now when have 20 other siblings who are brother sister twins so it looks like it'll continue
