    no if you buy the PRO software then its not illegal but if you get the free software then its illegal and you could get done by the police for it i have the PRO one and it is very good and i have had no problems with the law from it

    Limewire itself is legal... But downloading any songs movies ect. is the same as walking into a store and sticking them under your jacket and walking out.If it is copyrighted (all movies and music are) then it is illegal to download them through any program (except something like itunes where the money goes to the bands) NATIONAL COPYRIGHT LAW

    from everything ive read no and in the copyright laws of canada it sais that you can use limewire for ****personal use**** only eg.(downloading songs) and it is illegal to upload songs *******("THIS IS THE CANADA LAWS ONLY"*********)

    actually yes it is illegal because the restriction the song producers put on the songs affects every country in the world, and secondly paying for PRO is also illegal because limewire is not selling the song, they are selling the actuall aoftware to download, and they police dont stop this because alot of people do use limewire so it would be hard to use catch all of them
