  • yes, people deserve a second chance in life..if it does not work out you can always fire them
  • it would depend on what they were in prison for
  • The truth is that I would really need to think about it. And although everyone deserves another chance. If there were other candidates with the right qual's I would look elsewhere, if I am being honest.
  • Sure I would. Everyone deserves a second chance, especially considering the BS reasons some people end up in prison.
  • It would depend on what the job was, and what they were convicted of. I wouldn't hire an embezler as a bookkeeper, or a child predator for daycare.
  • if its my job to hire good employees and my job could suffer from my decision hell NO! If im the owner then maybe
  • I'm sorry, no.
  • depends on the crime. Someone who just got out of jail for murder, well, they've been in a long time, I assume, so their interpersonal skills may be lacking because of it, so they may not work well in public relations or retail, etc. It all depends on very specific circumstances for me.
  • It would depend upon the nature of my business and the nature of the crime. If I run a Day Care Center and this person is a child-molester, no way. If he were a thief and the position was that of someone handling money, again, I wouldn't hire him. I do believe in giving people another chance..but I want to be assured that my so doing would not jeopardize my business, my employees or my customers! :)
  • that would all depend on what it was they went to prison for. if it wasnt anything too bad then yes i would give them a chance. the fact that they are there asking for a job at all shows that they want to stay on the straight and narrow. its much easier for them to go back to crime than it is to prove they have changed. everybody makes mistakes
  • Depends on what sort of job it is and what would happen if they betrayed my trust. If I was a manager at McDonalds or something, then I would give them a chance.
  • It would depend what this person was in prison for.. if he was truly sorry for his actions. Yes i would hire him. He or she would be on probation for at least six months. I would not hire a former convict if he was a child predator in a school if I was a principal. Or a thief if i owned a jewlery or auto dealership. I believe everyone deserves a second chance to prove themselves
