Why are teenagers, even the difficult ones, so misunderstood or cast aside? Isn't it our responsibility to listen and understand?

People just put it down to hormones and the fact that they have so much time to think about things. Everyone's been there.

Experience helps to be understood. Not many teenagers have any depth of experience. The ones that do are listened to. Although in general we do tend to discount what they say and we shouldn't.

Because it just the way we are :) Seriously though, I don't feel *that* misunderstood... But it'd be nice if people at least tried to listen and understand me. Instead of judging me by my age straight away... Or maybe I'm just being moany. It's the hormones I tells ya.

Some teens are carrying a heavy load that were not aware of. They manifest it in negative ways. We need to be patient and understanding with them just like everybody else. They're still kids going through the hard process of growing up. Sometimes just listening to them is the best thing we can do for them.

Yeah... But 'teenagers know everything' and 'you know nothing cause you were never a teenager' lol so even if you were there to listen to them doesnt necessarily mean they'd talk...
