1. Colonial Wiliamsburg....seriously. It's amazingly cool, especially if you are a history buff...I could spend weeks there and still not see everything. Eat in a tavern, watch the reenactments, take a ghost walk, run through the maze in the Governor's Palace gardens, tour the Wren Building on the College of William and Mary campus(next to CW)......It'll send chills down your spine, when you imagine that Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, and George Washington all moved through these very same streets, deep in thought about these radical ideas of independence that would change the course of world history forever. 2. Jamestown/Yorktown (both within an easy 10 minute drive of Wiliamsburg...if you are going to be here, do the whole Historic Triangle gamut. I strongly recommend all Americans visit Jamestown and Yorktown at least once in their lives. They are both, in different ways, the birthplace of America. 2. Busch Gardens/Water Country USA 3. Come down to Virginia Beach. We're only 45 minutes away and we love money from tourists;) 4. Play golf at Kingsmill...one of the best courses in the country and home of the Michelob Championship at Kingsmill on the PGA Tour. 5. Hit the outlet stores (although personally, I think they're over rated) and there is so much more...... *Oh, and if you are thinking of going on the weekend of May 9th, you could help my brother move out of his dorm at William and Mary...doesn't that sound like fun?

When I moved out of Williamsburg it was just beginning to grow and be an appealing place for tourists. It's famous for Colonial Williamsburg which has neat little restaurants, shops and even a small humble theatre. Of course there is William & Mary, if you're thinking about going to college. One of my favorite places is New Towne. The main movie house is there and there are all kinds of stores surrounding it. By now I am sure it has come to be a wonderful and expanded part that I have only seen mostly construction of. There is also the Outlets if you love to shop and of course Busch Gardens, if you love theme parks! I am actually going to visit next week - I can't wait! +4
