Hmmm... not quite sure what you mean by that? Is this a religious "renewal" or a physical one? Our bodies "renew" themselves each and every day, with every cell that dies there is a new cell formed. It's life in itself that renews each and every day. But 7 being a very mythical and religious number, your question could possibly have an underlying spiritual notion. In this case I'll have to do more research lol :D

I think that's a figure based on some sort of average replacement of the individual cells. A few cells in every part of the body might be as old as 7 years, but there could be brand new cells surrounding them. It's not like a snake that sheds it's skin all at once. There are a lot of errors and little flaws that crop up in the cell replacement cycle that add up over time to growing old, and eventually dying.
