Is it okay to take 600MG of Ibuprofen, which would be 3 caplets, and use diet Coke instead of water to help swallow the pills?

More than two caplets should only be taken if a doctor tells you to. Painkillers have side effects--they make the liver work harder, among other things.

Cola works, but the liver strain is why it's best to drink water when taking these types of OTC pain relievers, to take care of your body.

Everybody's reaction to this could be different, but I have done this with no ill effects.

thanks, I did it before you or anybody answered the question. I have a very painful and annoying muscle strain on my left arm and chest, and it's making me miserable lol

I've done it lots of times too. Used coffee or even beer before, but it's risky to make your body work harder in one area (liver) when you're trying to heal another (headache or muscle pain). Best to flush well w/water!
