Well a few years ago I cleaned fryers and grills in a fast food joint, it was a very dirty job, in fact it doesn`t get much dirtier. I would empty the old oil out of the fryer then proceed to clean it out, you wouldn`t believe some of the stuff I would find floating around in there, really disgusting stuff. If I told you you would never eat another french fry again, trust me. I needed a shovel to get all the crap out. Then I would put the nice clean oil in, it was a very dirty job.
