Internet Dating. Why do girls write such long soppy things in their profile, while guys write a line or two? Do guys actually read what`s written in a girl`s profile, or do they just write because the girl is hot?

This one is blatantly obvious. Women are different from men! Honestly, why do you think men entertain themselves for 20 minutes with the sports section of the newspaper, and yet women spend hours and hours going through their collection of Cosmos and Vogues? Why do men see the news on tv, while women spend their time viewing desperate housewives, grey's anatomy and Oprah? They are two very different kinds of human beings. As for the latter questions, I suppose some guys go through the trouble of reading the profile - knowing that they have figured out that the profile might contain some info that can be used in initiating conversations with the girl - whereas others just go and comment "you are so beautiful/hot/gorgeous/whatever". And which do you think gets the reply, the one who actually learned something about the person they're trying to pique the curiosity of, or the one who just winged it?
