I think those thin, spiderey veins could either be the result of dilated blood vessels which I think is something that is naturally occuring, or the atrophy of the skin over the veins. Basically over time skin can thin and lose elasticity in some places so that those veins become visible. This can be caused by UV ray exposure, chronic use of topical steroids (ie prescription strength cortisone), and simply by aging.

I do not think there are any home-remedies to treat such a thing, but spider veins are a common concern brought to dermatologists and I think they have ways to deal with them.

I have the same problem on my back an some on my legs. They just appeared one year ago and seem to be multipling.Other than my father(who really has a problem with those little veins)nobody else in my familie does. They can be a result of my poor diet the past year i guess. Are they going to spread a lot more???i eat properly now
